The Styrofoam SC is installed over the steel studs using Pos-I-Tie® Brick Ties. The joints are taped with vycor tape y WR Grace. The Mason clips on the triangles as the brick are laid.
Styrofoam SC is easy to install. NOTE: There are no batts and no gyp sheathing. The 2" Styrofoam insulates better than a 6" batt and gyp because there are no thermal shorts in the system. Yellow circles highlight examples of the Pos-I-Tie® Brick Veneer Anchors
Bracing and Flashings are handled the same as with exterior gyp. usually horizontal bracing is used to give the studs structural integrity. Notice the Pos-I-Tie® Screws through the steel studs. Yellow circles highlight examples of the Pos-I-Tie® Brick Veneer Anchors.
