Seismic Veneer Anchors

Heckmann Building Products provides a variety of Veneer Anchors which conform to the requirements of the Uniform Building Codes for seismic zones. The code requires the veneer wall to have a continuous wire imbedded in the mortar joint. This wire is then connected to the veneer anchor which is attached to the backup structure. This system also provides greater stability and safeguards against problems caused by thermal expansion and contraction. Also the lateral force distribution is more uniform.
SEISMIC HOOK TAB

No. 370 Seismic Hook Tab:

22 gage clip welded to No. 316 Triangle Ties, No. 282 Double Pintel Wire Ties, No. 75 Pos-I-Tie® Wire Ties, No. 314 Tie Clips, or any 3/16" dia. or 1/4" dia. wire tie. Holds masonry reinforcement or pencil rod for seismic zone applications. Available in Plain, Hotdip Galvanized, or Strainless Steel.

SEISMIC NOTCH

Seismic Tab Notch:

Provided for flat anchors up to 1/8" (3.17 mm) thick. Below are examples of the No. 360 Veneer Seismic Anchor, No. 361 Dovetail Seismic Anchor, and No. 362 Channel Slot Seismic Anchor. The Seismic Tab Notch can be added to any of the flat anchors in this catalog.
