In 2008 Heckmann Building Products Inc. celebrates our eighty-five year anniversary as a family owned and operated business. The founder, Richard Heckmann, whose father was a brick mason, began the business in 1923 by making an automated corrugated wall tie machine at a time when steel was first being used to reinforce masonry. When he passed away in 1958 the business transferred to his daughter Patricia and her husband, Howard Curtis.

Today the Heckmann business is managed by their three children, the third Heckmann generation. Their hope, in this age of mergers and acquisitions, is to present the opportunity to continue the company to the fourth generation who will soon be coming of age.

Our specialty is manufacturing anchors, ties, and connectors to meet the needs of the construction industry for quality products and on time delivery. Our sales offices are located in the same building as our factory and warehouse, and our owner-managers are easy to reach and are dedicated to customer service. Since we have no public stockholders to be accountable to, we can be flexible in meeting the needs of our customers in a considerate and timely manner regardless if the inquiry or order is large or small.
